Project Info

The Downhill project is the largest of three new community Football Hubs in Sunderland, delivered with Esh Construction for the Football Foundation, Sport England and Sunderland City Council.

The project at Downhill extended the existing brick changing pavilion with new metal clad structures to create a new gym wing to the south and new social and community rooms at the main entrance. The existing changing pavilion has been remodelled internally to provide improved team changing and officials change rooms. Externally; car parking has been extended and new cycle stands provided along with 3no new full size artificial grass pitches with floodlights and security fencing.

The new Football Hub pitches, gym and community rooms will be operated by Pulse Soccer for Sunderland City Council.
